with a playfull twist

At seventeen, I began my own graphic design studio, Miesart. Through Miesart, I created iconic brand identities with a strong graphic character. Service-oriented, applied, and crafted with great dedication to each client.

When I turned 34 and Miesart celebrated its seventeenth anniversary, I marked the occasion with a grand celebration. Half of my life had been dedicated to Miesart up to that point. In that same year, a serious cycling accident brought everything to a halt. In the ensuing inevitable silence, I began to paint and shape my personal creative path.

Where my work at Miesart gives voice to others, I now pursue a parallel, autonomous path. In my paintings, I seek the same power as in my designs: images that linger, telling stories you cannot ignore.

I am a painter with a background in graphic design, creating bold acrylic works on canvas with a strong focus on hands-on craftsmanship. I work freehand, combining strong black lines with vibrant fields of color to balance spontaneity and precision, creating a striking visual impact.

My distinctive style distills everyday humor and explores themes of connection and loneliness. Through my work, I aim to create art that radiates lightness, joy, and a playful twist.

I always enjoy connecting with people who are curious about my work. Whether you have a question, would like to visit my studio, or simply want to talk about art, you are very welcome to get in touch.
